Neighborhood Food Pantry
Best for: Eager people looking to be the hands and feet of Jesus; not looking for kudos either!
SACCPhilly feeds our neighbors every other Saturday morning (9 AM - 12 PM) with a generous box of fresh produce and other healthy food selections.
There is much work to do every Food Pantry Saturday:
-
Unloading and sorting the food
-
Serving with a smile at the food tables to ensure everything goes smoothly
-
Clean-up afterwards: help with recycling, cleaning the tables, taking out the trash, putting away the food slide and tables.
Adopt-A-Room / Work Projects
Best for: Handy men/women and enthusiastic youth.
Our church building is old! It was built in 1896 and needs a face-lift. We have several opportunities for willing and able workers to come down for a day or two to make repairs and improvements. Get your team together and let’s make the place shine for Jesus!

Some of our current projects include:
-
New Office Re-model:
Since repairing the chapel roof, we are ready to rehab a second-floor office/board room space. This is a big project involving many steps. Join us as we better utilize our space for greater efficiency and teamwork.
-
Class Room Upgrade:
We have 3 classrooms in need of a facelift and some new teaching aids. Bring a couple of cans of paint (or we can pick some up at the nearby Lowe’s store)!
-
Kitchen Refresh and Repair:
We’ve already started our kitchen R&R(epair)! We just need a few more improvements: a new floor, a new stove (gas), and some cabinet repairs. We can knock off this work project over a series of Saturdays!
Trauma Healing &
Refugee Ministry
Best for: Compassionate people who love to see the living and powerful gospel applied to the whole person.
Trauma is a real, debilitating experience for many of our people, especially our refugees. Our Lord offers healing through the balm of his Word. New Bible-based trauma healing groups are starting in 2023 — available in multiple languages.
How you can support us:
-
Childcare: Share games, stories, and crafts with the children of the parents in the healing groups.
-
Prepare a meal: Bring in a meal of your choosing for the group and any children in tow.
-
Get trained in trauma healing yourself!
Trainings to learn how to lead your own trauma healing group are forming all throughout the year.
